Position: Consultant Developer

Details: At Datapharm I was employed as a full-time consultant developer working on projects which included the development of document submission, conversion and document workflow solutions. I have contributed to the Medicine Guides project, and have also developed a domain model and resource mapping application toolkit (API) that will be used across the organisation.

Other activities at Datapharm include the development of standard practices and templates for software development as well as the implementation of standard instrumentation, logging and exception handling frameworks using Enterprise Library 3.1 (www.medicines.org.uk)

Position: Systems Architect (Shareholder and Director)

Details: A start-up company, OnAsia Images is a specialist Asian based stock photography agency that has built a collection of over 100,000 images for sales into the global news and editorial publishing channels. Systems requirements included the development of image management, production and marketing applications combined with the development of the company's Web site for online sales.

The online system was developed as a multi-tier Web application with the usual considerations for managing security, state, and scalability . This was a  C#,  ASP.Net, MS SQLServer environment. (www.onasia.com)

Positions: Book Group IT Head of Development and Infrastructure: Jan 1997 to Apr 1999
                Systems Analyst: Jan 1994 to Dec 1996

Details: With an annual budget of approximately 2 million pounds, the Book Group IT department at Macmillan was composed of three teams responsible for system infrastructure, development and Web development respectively. Projects included the development of several client/server publishing, production, and marketing database applications across the group.

Previously developed web sites were brought in-house for redesign and redevelopment. Web sites developed included all of the public divisional sites - several with full catalogue and secure book ordering facilities. This was a VB, ASP, SQL Server environment( www.macmillan.com)

Position : Micro Analyst

Details : VNU UK Ltd. is the publisher of prominent trade and consumer titles such as Personal Computer World, PC-Week, and Computing. It was the responsibility of the Micro Analyst to develop, install, and maintain support for all editorial systems equipment, software and networks.

Position: PC-Support Officer

Details: Activities included producing documentation and manuals for bespoke software, installing communications software and modems for MIS links, and creating installation scripts

Position: Manufacturing Technician

Details: This was a one-year temporary work term that IBM routinely offers to manufacturing-level employees. Duties included electronic card assembly and product testing .
